Grants

As a grantmaking organization, Foundation for Health Equity provides direct support to organizations fulfilling immediate, individual needs as well as addressing historical, systemic inequities. For example, we fund programs that feed hungry families as well as work to end food deserts. We also fund programs that help older adults age in place as well as protect their rights. Our goal is to improve systems that have historically made it difficult for people to gain and maintain health.

Grants can be awarded to nonprofits that fit F4HE’s grant-receiving criteria under one of our primary focus areas: Food Insecurity, Healthy Aging, Women’s and Children’s Health. These grants are awarded to those non-profits that are exemplary of BOTH direct service and systems change efforts.

What are the criteria? Great question!

The Foundation supports nonprofits that work to advance health equity in NW Philadelphia through direct service AND actively creating systemic change. (Please see links below for further information on our systems change requirement.)

*Eligibility does not guarantee funding.
